Sanda plantation hideaway
A little private hideaway on the slopes of sacred Mount Batukaru, in one of Bali’s most untouched countryside regions.
A unique place to stay in Bali — sometimes described as eco stays or even glamping — but quieter, more personal, and deeply connected to the land.
Sanda Plantation Hideaway is a productive plantation in the small traditional village of Sanda, Pupuan, in the mountains of central Bali.
We offer guests the chance to experience authentic Balinese countryside life while staying in comfort — in our unique semi-luxury safari-style canvas tent, often described as a more intimate, nature-focused alternative to glamping in Bali, or in our cozy wooden house. Both are tucked away on elevated wooden decks within the plantation, offering beautiful views over the green Balian River valley, surrounding plantations and rice fields, with Mount Batukaru as a backdrop.
Located in Pupuan, one of Bali’s most authentic and least-visited regions, far from mass tourism, and at 700 meters above sea level, our hideaway enjoys fresh air, pleasant daytime temperatures, and cool evenings and nights.
Some guests stay only one night as a stopover between north and south Bali — most regret it. This is a place to slow down, disconnect, and experience a side of Bali many travelers never see. We recommend at least two or three nights to truly enjoy the place (and a great open jeep tour)! Many guests stay a week or longer; just read the reviews.
We hope to welcome you soon!
